Best wishes to everyone for a good year and getting back to a somewhat normal life.
Excellent job ITTR and Rogue in getting this transcript prepared for the forum!
One comment I have that should be very apparent. POET management have a difficult time expressing what investors should expect to see in terms of revenue and timeframe. What they believe will be the rate of market penetration, how quickly they can address the current applications and what they say I think are two diferent things. Then begin to consider new applications like sensing and IoT. It is not something they can speak openly about for obvious reasons.
We can appreciate the fact that they are highlighting the technical achievements that they are making. The efforts to educate investors to provide at least a measure of understanding of the importance and step change the Optical Interposer platform provides. A step change in optical integration that industry needs to grow. And it is a step change that industry has grown accustom to waiting for because development has not kept up with need. As a result many compromises have had to be made as companies plan for the construction of new facilities. I imagine they are tired of making due with what is available in the existing ecosystem.
POET offers a new opportunity for many companies to improve their bottom line and they are now able to talk about those achievements with proven data points that can be shared with both industry and the stock market. The POET Platform can now be presented and explained in ways that will help people to understand how this technology improves the growing needs of the digital world.
It’s up to the people who receive that message to contemplate how quickly the POET platform can displace existing technologies and create new applications that can now evolve.
That message is now being delivered to new groups of investors in a very methodical way so that they can make determinations of how big POET’s market will be in terms of existing products and the products that will follow.
