Thanks to the video you linked we have learned again that on the pure IC level we are approaching the end of Moore's Law. Multi-Core and SoC are helping, and here the smallest bottleneck is the bus - transporting all these data around, from CPUs to GPUs and memories, etc.

What better solution can we imagine, then using the POET OI, a highway of light flipped directly on the silicon? Our future is bright!
