Agoracom: Good day, thank you for your inquiry. With regards to tables, it appears that your recent post is aligned. If you are trying to copy a table from another source, a screenshot often works well as seen below:

Thanks for your quick reply! However, I beg to differ, because I cannot control the alignment. Cells are always left-aligned horizontally and centered vertically. In many cases, including mine, this is suboptimal.

And borders! In the second-left column, it is hard to tell where one cell ends and the next one begins. Cell borders would help.

Screenshots are no alternative, especially since you cannot simply paste them into the editor. Oh yes, you can paste them and you will even see them in the preview, but in the posted message the image link is broken. Or has this been fixed meanwhile? I haven’t tried.

I would not call this state of the art.
