Being “someone”, I concur. If you have created the design of a photonic chip, they can produce these chips for you. However, there isn’t any integration of electronic devices on that same chip, as POET’s OI provides. On their website, they are using the analogy of basic building blocks in microelectronics to help the reader understand the concept of building blocks in photonics, but that’s it.
