This business, as with almost all, requires more money all the time...it's their blood. If I were the competition I would be trying to make POET anemic so I could pick up the pieces for nothing, virtually.
The warrant extensions were not only fruitless, but harmful in many other ways as have been discussed here at length. It should've NEVER been done because the company does not control the market and has zero clue, evidently, of what or how the market will react.
Hindsight is 20/20, but this extension was, next to the .52 financing, a very bad idea.
