Occam's razor suggests that the easiest thing for the company to do is, as ITTR explained, create the ecosystem surrounding your product (not easy), have multiple customers on different continents (not easy, but essential for an ecosystem) and then just start making your widgets, which no one understands but will understand when the money starts flowing in.
