I have been wondering the same thing Shash.  Ramanand Tewari, through Millview/UofOttawa, wrapped his work on 100G and 400G pluggable optical transceivers for POET in January of this year.  Interesting (though prob just coincidence), while working on POET's AWG's and spot size converters, Dr. Tewari was also working on AWG's for Huawei in Ottawa.

Perhaps we'll get an update on this and other nagging questions when Q3 report comes out this month, or perhaps not!
