Ayniq I found it interesting that you list Ballard Power as a company you should have hung onto (if I read your post right) based on your list of negatives associated with POET.

Many of the boxes you ticked associated with POET apply to Ballard. If you zoom out to the 20 year chart of Ballard you will see a whole lot of pain. Ballard has been losing money for decades and really there is no certainty that this company will ever be cash flow positive.

I have owned Ballard in the past as a short term trade when it showed signs of life after bottoming out about 5 years ago. But the future is far from clear with Ballard in terms of the long term market for fuel cell technology and yet it currently has a $5 billion market cap.

POET is a buy with so much potential to be a global leader in optical integration.  No debate on the needs for a new technology platform that can integrate optics with electronics in high volume and at low cost in a CMOS fabrication process. The need for large scale fuel cell technology is far from clear.

Any further discussion regarding past picks pluses and minuses should go off topic.
