I hear you ITTR but I don’t think it is that uncommon if you follow other companies. But this is POET and I still remember Ajit’s introduction at the AGM when he stood up with his iPhone in his hand. We all thought, this is it…the Promised Land. And Adjit was the CEO of GF. Should he not have known better? Suresh was really quick to reduce that market potential and was criticised for the new direction associated with the GaAs AOC.
There have certainly been times where past performance of communications comes up and it has been a learning experience. It is history that I don’t think will be repeated except for here on this forum.
Taking a complex technology from a concept to product is not a clear path and there are bound to be many missteps along the way. Investors want to pry any bit of information they can from management and every effort is taken to lead them in the direction of the answer the investors want to hear. And that happens in a lot of start-ups.
