Metabill, the POET Optical Interposer is a transeiver it both sends and receives data by converting electons into  photons and sending them down optical fiber connections and and vice versa.  They sit in other companies devices to do that.  So, for each firm wanting a POET OI they have some development work to do in coordination with POET engineers which involves development, integration and testing, it all takes time besides the coordination and contractual work that is concurrent actibity. 

So although POET have a working tested OI, the flash to bang time to sell our OI on scale to any one company that wishes to use the POET OI would be at least six months.  That's the phase we are in with our first customer, the influential tier one company POET partenered with to developt the OI a couple of years back.  Now the ground work on the OI and the parts of the pick and mix package are done,  the PIC is looking for new customers.  Non recurring engineering costs will be paid by customers to POET to undertake this work before production begins and sales revenue.  When managmement talk about inflection point they mean, now we get on with pitching and selling our product to the PIC world, they have mentioned the interest of several companies.

This is how I see it, NRE  and some sales will show on quarterly income from second half of 2020, revenue from OI sales on a large scale will not happen until Q1 2021.  Talented engineers are being hired to ramp up the integration work now.  Given the timing of the growth of the market opportunity, the disrutive product POET has and the current low share price any investor with an interest in technical stocks and some nowse should wish to buy PTK. 

My opinion is that now is a fantastic time to get on the POET bandwagon,  personally I just wonder when the goldrush will kick off as I have have been doing for over eight years,  I think all us longs should slap ourselves on the back for such insight and wisdom tempered however, with a kick in bottom for our lack of foresight to rationlise how long it would all take - timing is everything our time is NOW.
