I'm guessing Suresh and Vivek might actually do much of the heavy lifting when it comes time to hammer out the finer details of any agreeement(s).

I would agree with that. You cannot expect a mere attorney, no matter how closely his specialization aligns with your buisness, to have the deep technical knowledge, granular industry experience, and proper sense of the FUTURE with regard to your roadmap and its industry potential to come back with a contract whose critical provisions are not mostly (if not entirely) dependent upon direct input from Suresh and other POET execs.
