Analogous to recent discussion; there is a huge difference between "engagement" and the consummation of marriage. You can talk about a secret courtship all you want, even putting a ring on it is not the final act. You need a minister, a witnesses, and then a bedroom. Until then, you can't call anyone "your spouse". My gut tells me that POET is choosing the napkins, and hiring the DJ...but I could be wrong. None of that constitutes material news.
I'm not fluent in legalese, but can you imagine the language that will be drawn up between POET, a Tier 1, and any other "partners" along the supply chain? Percentages of this, royalties for that. I was thouroughly scouring the filings in Sedar, and there wasn't a specific itemized line for "legal" which I believe (correct me if I'm wrong) falls under "Professional Services". Last year, there wasn't an enormous increase over 2018 in this regard.
I'm guessing Suresh and Vivek might actually do much of the heavy lifting when it comes time to hammer out the finer details of any agreeement(s).
