Happy to read you Brightech, and thanks for the fantastic post. You seem to have a line in the fishing pond we are all sitting around.
This quote of yours:
"they raised 165 million in funding over the past 2 years with a post funding market cap nearly half a billion dollars. They still don’t have anything that compares of March 2019."
...mirrors what Thomas Mika said during his investor presentation. Then from Paulyboy's Post on CISCO's single lambda 100G approach:
"If you click on the "single-lambda" it brings you to the link below, if you download, Poet isn't part of that group, Rockley is, has all of Poet's verbage....could Poet have replace Rockley? Techies?"
You start to wonder, why did Mika specifically name Rockley? Either, POET has replaced them, or they haven't; in which case Mika's comments may have completely different meaning. (Like, it's not CISCO, but a different Tier 1, which will have a competitive advantage down the line).
I also fully agree with you Brightech; the world has pivoted to at-home, remote working solutions which are NOT going to just revert back to normal. People (like me) are discovering a work/life balance of being at home, over commuting everyday to an office. Add the demands by streaming services, and you can see why there is enormous urgency on the industry to increase speed and bandwidth.
