So is a chiplet design the next step in transceivers? I asked FJ a similar question about Ayer Labs who also have a chiplet design. As he also explained the efficiency and cost savings does not compare to Poet's OI. 

Let me just throw this out there. Some very large companies are investing large sums of money in these ventures such as InnoLight. Did they not see this type of technology coming? Will they abandon their investments for a new better more cost effective method? Or if I understand can the OI be incorporated with their current design. Forgive my ignorance I just don't know how that part works.

I suppose what I am getting at is this a part of the market Poet would not go after because they have their investment in place. Or will these companies who made large investments in chiplets sit and watch as Poet changes this technilogical landscape?
