First I would like to congratulate Suresh and his team regarding completion of the OI, something that had never been done before in micro-electronics. When this all gets out I think he'll be on the receiving end of some prestigous awards, all of which will be deserved.
I don't believe this financial delay is any more complicated than the corona virus slowing everything down internally. Although I have proclaimed they had the money, if there were no virus I believe that would've been the case.
Furthermore, I believe in earlier NR's the company said there were several interested parties that had come and gone in the "consortium"...this just seems like another add on, albeit late as it is.
Clearly today the market is happy with the announced completion of the OI....although there's evidence that it's been out there for some time. It's about the only way Cisco could have it embedded in their transceiver, and if/when they do announce that fact, we'll know they were way ahead of (announced) schedule.
So if Cisco had them, who else did?
Sure looks good...we'll trade close to a million across all boards and I would expect this news to build over time, it's really that good.
IMO
