Seems to me that the Chinese consortium have found an even bigger vein of gold than first thought, and are now searching for the talent to help maximize their return.  Soon enough there will be others who feel the same way.

What exactly is a device worth to a company, or a consortium, that is made of eight components, is bleeding edge technology that will kickstart the photonic world, and for all intents, and purposes will print money for the owner?

Maybe we should start giving serious thought to what a fair buyout number would look like.  It's going to happen, so what's fair?  Can we even fairly consider something like this, and leave emotion out? 

Can we fight off a stink bid?  Will the poison pill keeps the hounds at bay? Is the platform something that will create a bidding war?
