ITTR, I was only attempting (and obviously failing) to make one point - the consortium wants their investment de-risked as much as possible before they release more money to POET.  If the OI tech isn't at the stage that the Consortium wants at this point, then I see them trying to negotiate their way to a better deal - more time, less money now, more later, or whatever else they can do to protect themselves.

I can't remember the exact words of the NR on the deal of a few months ago, but I do remember it was quite flexible in terms of what would happen if the buyer failed to fund and release the second tranche by December 31.  Most deals are not written (or described) in that fashion; to me, it appeared to be setting the stage for possible delays and/or renegotiations.  Unlike tech, the foregoing is something I actually know a little about.

Lumenge, I'm not panicking at all; as I said, I won't worry unless we don't have the money by mid-January.  For all I know, the money is already in, or, buyer is confirming the status of the OI tech to their satisfaction and is ready to give the thumbs up for the second tranche.  We'll see soon enough, and the sooner the better.
