This may or may not be the case, I think it is more likely true than not, but not 100%. Another option may have been to sell the GaAs IP to a company with the resources to get it developed (if possible). That may have resulted in gains for everyone, and the stock would no longer be listed.
There are various ways to measure progress, if using technological progress, POET appears in much better shape with the OI, so that would be a success, assuming no surprises.
As an investor, my measure, for the most part is the SP, in which case this is a big fail, although hopefully that will change, and I think it will. A fact is that the SP is significantly closer to zero than when Suresh joined POET. Hopefully that changes, then I would be on board with congratulations for Suresh, but I will wait for a significant increase in the SP.
Looking forward to better times (SP), hopefully sooner not too much later as this is taking a very long time.
