please, someone confirm they are display cases! It would be nice to have the prototypes we’ve been working on there.

Those prototypes would be too valuable to risk to theft or vandalism (at least the actual ones). Those should be shown in a guarded setting resembling the interior of a bank vault. I suppose they could build a model of the prototype for the public to gawk at, but it wouldn't be as sexy as (say) a replica or cutaway model of a fancy new automobile engine.
