Dash, the chatter amoung my Ottawa friends is that the Millview/POET collaboration is in line for "Emerging Technologies" funding from the federal government. There is a matching funding element apparently, which may add to your thought that they indeed need funds to fuel Ottawa. The potental sale of DL to the Chinese was quietly heralded as a developmental breakthrough for the company. The official response will be muted, due to the present strained relations between Canada and China, but the tech people are smiling!
