One thing I've noticed over many year with TA, it is 100% accurate after the event, but ony about 50/50 beforehand.
Apparently, a few day trader types got involved late last week, and along with some of the faithful here pushed the price up some. The day traders were banking on news by today, when it didn't come, they bailed, business as usual for them. That may have scared a few of our types with excess shares.
I was not expecting a drop, but was not surprised by a drop, but very surprised at the magnitude. Much bigger than average volume in both Canada and the US, but when you think of the money that volume represents, it's not that much. There was panic selling, not leak type selling.
Whether the news will be good or bad remains a mystery to me, but I did not think the nice rise we enjoyed was at all probative of the kind of news we get, and I do not think today's slide means anything substantive in term of news, either.
Most evidence I had of a drop coming was as the result of posters admitting they bought more and, of course, the booze thread. Giddiness, especially in a developmental stock, is often a tell tale sign of a pull back. I was not tempted to buy or sell today, but was tempted to drink!
Let's get a much better day tomorrow! We giddy drunks are deserving!
