Leafnation, a halt would have to be way too long to ensure that all shareholders received their proxy materials. I could easily see a spread of from 1 to 7 days. Suspending trading is a very serious thing, especially for the amount of time it would take. Now, there may be a Canadian statute that provides a presumption of receipt within so many days of mailing, but if there is, it would have to be at least three days and that's way too long to halt trading, imo. Especially since it's easily remedied by an NR.
