I kind of think it is shelved, but pre-unshelved at the same time. It will become unshelved after 400G takes over the market is my feeling as the need for even more speed and lower costs drives further efficiencies in the market. The volume just from data centres alone will drive this market to such efficiencies. So, a few years out yet (if it ever gets addressed). The "if" is there because one never knows what other inventions might come in and change the market.

Above just a thought, but POET must continue to move as they are currently doing with one success at a time with their current projects.
