JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Objectives

As a Senior Product Engineer, you will be the product owner for selected products from our optical portfolio of narrow linewidth lasers, SLED’s and ELED’s. As such, you will be responsible for all aspects of the verification, validation and improvement of the product performance against customer, engineering and manufacturing requirements working with process/product and quality engineers. Role will also include working with the new product development team, providing test analysis to the team and supporting new product qualification activities. We are looking for a creative and self-motivated person who can organize and provide thought leadership through issues and resolve them.

Duties & Responsibilities

Be the product owner for selected portfolio products, owning all aspects of the product specification and performance to those specifications of those products
Responsible for data compilation and analysis, improvement, reporting and documentation of those products.
Resolve yield and customer quality issues and support sales on customer technical enquiries.
Involved in testing of photonics devices and/or optical sensors.
Supports new product development team, providing test analysis to the team, and supporting qualification activities.

Requirements and Skills

Minimum 4+ years experience in either semiconductor or photonics industry in product/yield engineering role
Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor in Physics or Engineering (Electrical / Electronics / Optics)
Must have good interpersonal, teamwork and communication skills
Must have excellent analysis and problem solving skills and be able to drive improvement activities
Self-motivated and organised, with attention to detail.
