Just so people understand. This is one part of the advantage offered by the POET platform. As we will recall Suresh is targeting insertion loss to be significantly better than existing technologies. Which ultimately means lower power requirements both in signal generation and thermal control requirements (a more efficient platform allowing for higher sensitivity).
