Job Objectives
 

To develop and implement strategic plans to increase capacity, process capability, CAPEX and OPEX cost effectiveness within both the internal factory infrastructure (including all manufacturing sections from cleave coat and test, die attach, wire bond, packaging and integrated light source modules and test), and external factory infrastructure (all outsourcing partners and suppliers) to meet both immediate and planned revenue growth trajectory of the organization. 

 

• Responsible for managing all aspects of the Assembly Process and Test (APT) operations including, cleave, coat, auto bar test, die attach and die pick so as to meet established KPIs
• Ensure that products and service provided by the APT operations deliver on time to our customer requirements
• Drive initiatives that contribute to long-term operational excellence and manage operational cost by utilizing best practices to reduce overhead expense
• Direct and control preventive maintenance operation to ensure that the company has the highest-level availability of equipment and processing resources required for production within budget, quality and schedules
• Direct, control and drive new cost, quality and sourcing actions that ensures the operations have the outsourced capacities and materials necessary to meet production demands and cost goals.
• Plan and implement new equipment and processing capability and integrate to support market, product roadmaps of the company
• Ensure APT employees are aware of quality requirements, provide training on best practices. Promote a culture of quality excellence
• Develop all necessary policies and procedures to ensure environment friendly, safe and healthy working environment
• Support the development of lean manufacturing processes; continuous improvement, standard work, problem solving, value stream mapping, training and employee involvement
• Establish and implement metrics (uptime availability, processing capability, fast response time, cost effectiveness, failure mode effect analysis, measurement quality and others) for monitoring system effectiveness and to enable managers/engineers to make sound production planning and operational decisions
• Provide leadership in the planning, directing, execution, analysis and continuous improvement of all aspects of APT infrastructure / support operations (facilities, equipment and processing capabilities) for the internal factory (that is, company owned and operated factory) and processing capabilities for external factory (outsourcing partners)
• Ensure effective production planning control and logistics to provide adequate, just-in-time materials purchases, inventories availability and warehouse efficiencies
