Friends,
Firstly many thanks to Kath and others for provoking so much thought.
There has been a lot to take in this week to comprehend just what this weeks announcement of the potential sale of DenseLight to a well funded buyer means in terms of strengths and threats. SV on the 6th posted in News on the Company's Web Page, the following link will take you there, here SV spells out his strategy and logic for the current actions.

It would have been entirely possible for PTI management to continue to focus its energy on continuing to run DenseLight, but there are some issues in doing so. Having got the Singapore project it ticking over properly, equipped and staffed well with good people all lined up with several lucrative projects for products that are entrain to hit the market. Ask yourself why continue with the anxt and energy needed to go on doing that when you can hand the management of all that over to a new competent team, particularly one who has the funding to ramp it up for the large scale orders that you know are comeing for the most potentially lucrative product you’ve invented to date. Besides that, the proposed new management team are in any case proven experts in the field as its what they do already. But then BINGO the injection of cash that is to be received will allow you to focus your efforts on the other lucrative lines that you know need to be exploited and right now.
Surely this really is a Win Win situation. The new team, an established firm get their entre in to the next big thing and a big boost in their income manufacturing it, whilst PTI takes the royalties for each interposer made and can be used to finance and organise the similar set ups to get POET IP into other verticals that you know from your current experience will take off. Something that you could not afford to do before because you had neither the time or money to get involved. What SV is saying is classic, that you don’t make money running the corner shop, you make money setting up the chain of corner shops.
POET, eventually, has achieved what ii intended with Denselight in Singapore and is now setting its sights on wherever? That for my money is what Bill Ring has been quietly doing in Europe. The French and Welsh connections perhaps and a .possibility were still in with India, that’s all g.one very quiet. Still waters run deep!
Folks, this is SV empire building and thinking big. He is ambitions, able and knows that he has to be very nimble to catch the next big opportunity. What is happening is a massive display of confidence and capacity on his behalf. I like it.
