To answer your point, Babaoriley, "Mono, as far as qualification goes, I thought the companies that have the prototypes are the ones doing the testing.  Are you suggesting separate testing so as to meet some ISO standards?  Or is the testing by the companies that have the prototypes somehow done in conjunction with those entities that issue the certifications?" 

"Probably a combination of both since they both want this to work". Each partner has their part to do in the process. It doesn't necessarily mean entirely separate at all times. Afterall, they have a deal so I would expect collaboration/ co-development where applicable while at the same time protecting each other's I.P.
