"I don't think the 4th terminal is a 7 year issue, it is more likely a 3 year issue that emerged very late in the commercialization process." I agree with your statement being likely as well. Denselight was working with lasers before PoET, so they probably had processes of their own to work through. As far a GaAS goes, it is not dead necessarily but shelved for another time. Perhaps, the collective think tank at Denselight and those at PoET can log their research in the meantime that might be relevant for a future time to complete any GaAS research when resources permit them to do so.
