I agree Tom. They were very much on the same page in describing the unique nature of the optical interposer. And some here would find it surprising that TM spoke more to the science while Suresh tended to focus more on industries desire to find a low cost high performance solution for optical integration.

It does not seem that long ago but consider this. We were told that they could talk to whoever they wanted because the platform was "that good" and that the relationship with Accelink met many of their needs. Two very important facts. They were free to deal with any application of the platform with whoever they wanted. I believe that check mark has been established with the recent news. And that no technology transfer would take place with Accelink maintaining a ring fence of protection that has been further supported by a very important patent grant earlier this month.

POET has given us a glimpse at the landscape by presenting a list of major companies in the Sept 4-6 investor presentation under the heading:

POET’s Strategy - to co-develop Optical Interposer-based solutions across a variety of markets beginning with Optical Engines for datacom and telecom applications.

Within that list of major companies POET was in:

1)    Active qualification for co-development or contract development is in process with 3 major companies (all under non-disclosure)”

2)    Among these companies, we have engaged in discussions with 13, and all continue to be interested in the Optical Interposer to varying degrees

Also of interest on that slide:

We continue to forecast delivery of prototypes by the end of Q4

And 2 months later on November 12 POET made a major announcement which lined up with those statements and the market apparently did not understand the significance.

On Thursday let’s see if POET can provide a little more detail to help the market understand these steps toward commercialization of what has been described as a disruptive optical integration platform that industry has been waiting for:

A live audio webcast and archived replay of the business and technical update conference call, as well as associated presentation materials, will be available on the day of the conference call in the investor relations section of Poet Technologies' website.
