If I recall correctly, Intel was one of the companies in shown in POET's presentation (so prabably one of the 13 companies, I would presume).
In the TRAB days POET had garnered interest in a GaAs solution. That was supposed to eat Intel's lunch eventually. Of course, GaAs did not happen. But Intel is aware of the Interposer - assumed- (since they were on the list in POET's slide presentation - I think that was back in October?).
Intel would be interested in POET because the Interposer takes current CMOS technology and makes it better. So it is compatible and extends current companies products, where applicable, in terms of lower cost of production and vastly increased performance. So, you bet Intel would be interested as POET has what the industry at large needs.
