Thanks, oz4m2, that clarifies it pretty much. So samples are indeed not for free, but they also won't generate much revenue, due to their low volumes.

On the other hand, the fact that POET will be able to sell these samples will improve investor confidence, and the market will assume the POET soon does have a product resp. products for sale in quantities. This will "move the needle", as darrylhansen puts it, provided everything turns out as planned.
