Message: What about DenseLight?

Interesting question.  Let’s say the company has done what it can (internally) to further the recieve and transmit interposer platforms, the heavy lifting is now in the hands of SilTerra, Accelink and Almae.  Where to focus your resources? There’s design prototyping for different interposer platforms  and who knows what else (16 lanes, etc??).  Suresh did say interest for different applications was humbling/staggering or words to that effect.  Denselight would be the R&D test bed for new interposer based devices, and that may keep them plenty busy.

Then there’s GaAs, who knows what’s going on with ISRO.  Perhaps a delay due to the Indian bureaucratic process, or ISRO is asking too much, or not giving enough.  It has been suggested that with the rapid advancement of the current interposer platform and its apparent near-term commercialization, the pressure to get a GaAs deal from ISRO has been lessened.  I happen to agree.  Maybe the 4th pin development comes back in-house with the hope of greater returns.  Would it be better to keep complete control of the IP if we possibly can, or does ISRO/India offer much more than just an opportunity for the GaAs 4th pin development?
