Thanks for the update from the front BT!
A few comments of my own. Although he didn’t actually come out and say it, I think Suresh is very cognizant of the fact the shareholders are becoming somewhat impatient with lack of revenues and associated share price. To address this as best he can, he was very deliberate in explaining the processes required to bring something to market, testing, validation, etc. and very clear (I think) at the near and far term potential. Things can’t be physically performed any quicker than they already are, there are no shortcuts. FJ. mentioned this already, but the speed at which they were able procure, install and validate the fabrication equipment at SilTerra is in my mind impressive. Indicates a sense of urgency, all hands on deck to roll this out. These people are working as fast as they can with the resources at their disposal.
Not much has been made (here) of the new partnership announced yesterday. Suresh spoke specifically to this relationship as being important in the acceleration of the transmit product to market. In this case, I don’t think size (of Almae) matters! There is also the obvious connection to Accelink and Malinge here as well, sure to benefit down the road. Suresh commented that having the receive ready to go was important for initial revenue generation, but having both transmit and receive would provide significantly more revenue (ie not just double the revenue, but really propel things).
During question period Suresh addressed one of the elephants in the room (ISRO) with that boiler plate response, I think we all know how to read this. Of equal significance to me is that I believe he used this not only to cover the ISRO inquiry, button also make sure we knew that this policy could be applied to many a number of things currently under way. Suresh mentioned a customer for a particular product that could result in up to $70M in revenue annually. These discussions must be involved enough for him to come up with a number like that. How many of these conversations are going on? His comment about being “humbled” by the interest from industry was clearly used to give us an idea of the scope/scale of this interest.
It could be we’re a little bit like an iceberg right now, a significant portion hidden from sight. Maybe a chance to sink a titanic or two along the way!
