Regarding the prospects of the share price, my greatest concern was another capital raise, which would have been highly dilutive, especially at the share price levels we saw not so long ago – and still at the present level.
Thomas Mika has stated clearly that he wanted to do everything to avoid another dilutive financing, but of course he could not guarantee that. In my opinion, however, it seems that a dilutive financing is indeed off the table:
- I agree with andech1 that if POET were in need of a capital raise, they would have done it already.
- An important hint are the insider buyings by Tom Mika and Don Listwin, who clearly know what the company's financial status is. I think these buyings express a very high level of confidence that there won't be any dilution ahead, because otherwise buying now would be just plain stupid.
Still we don't know yet where any non-dilutive financing might come from. High-volume NRE contracts and/or debt financing are my favorites, but of course I am just guessing.
