So basically, Poet Interposer will be put on the chip alongside the CMOS portion and provide optical function for the CMOS chip? 

What sort of Optical function?   

is this Optical send and receive for everything taking place on the CMOS portion of the chip? Is this Interposer front side bus type thing? interfacing with video, Bluetooth, memory on say a motherboard or chipboard in a phone or what?  

The temperature benefits are really good, obviously. you would think, that alone should gain some interest. 

My initial thought was.  if the poet Interposer gets on the board, soon we can replace that with the interposer that includes so much memory you cant imagine, and then a replacement for all that happens on the CMOS chip?  haa if only. isn't that why we are all here?
