Remember, as stand-a-lone discreet devices, POET has news released that they have successfully achieved that. What that does not say is if anyone under NDA has been using POET's technology. POET can be a supplier to supplier's. For example, let's hypothesize that Finisar is under NDA with POET and that Finisar was under NDA with Apple. Would POET come out too early and spill the beans? Likely not!  POET has stated publicly that they seek a partner to finalize the development of the GaAs platform. 

Also, POET seems to be remaining hush on VCSEL as they know the industry wants complete Monolithic integration in the GaAs platform. They need money for that. Well, then why has not Apple or Finisar done that? We don't know, and we can only infer. But, if POET is involved with either or both of these companies, then they must know when it is the right time to announce such.  For VCSEL, what platform did Finisar use?  If they used anything other than the GaAs platform, then that would suggest they did not use POET.
