It makes you think that once POET gets its GaAs platform going, the monolithically integrated VCSEL, will be that desired game-changer. One thing that I do not understand is why has POET not approached any reputatble company in the data-room products industry to get the ball rolling faster and to get the VCSEL rolling off the assembly line?

Yes, a bit more research and development is probably needed, but someone out there with deep pockets should be able to share the risk with POET? I am sure at the right price that this would be negotiable for POET.
