Well, most of us here are hoping that POET becomes like a cat that just ate a smelt, then looking for a larger fish like a salmon.
The hints seem to be there that suggest POET might have applied for the Indian RFP, but they might not have as well. They might be deciding how much government involvement do they want with their innovations and would it acclerate what they want to do or hinder them for a short term price gain?
I would think that POET could move forward in parallel with commercial plans and space/military plans. The space/military plans would involve agreements with governments. That area could provide POET with more stability and credibility. Usually, space/military innovations are way ahead of commercial markets as leading innovations. Eventually, those innovations open up huge, new global markets.
On the more practical side of things, POET's InP platform brings us nearer to commercial viabllity in the now.
I think that POET will always be about the future and the now in terms of what they are doing. We do need more evidence of "the now" or "the meow" - because cats can climb higher than dogs.
