Well, Jack, the supposed cry wolf days are behind us. Like many stocks on this horrific exchange, there are too many that are or stay conceptual and fail. POET is not like that at all. They have a clear roadmap and they were able to adjust it along the way from their very first roadmap because this industry is very fluid--- you have to make the products that customers want (Suresh has said).  POET has several products, overall, when you take their Denselight and BB Photonics InP platform into consideration. The word "platform" already conveys that there are several products in that environment.

You said, In other words they will have to prove themselves thru sales and not iniatial sales but sustainable sales with more then one product before the market will take them seriously and the shareprice lull over the last 18 months leads me to believe it could be true.

I fear the wait will be longer then expected.

I agree that POET will have to prove themselves with steady increasing and sustainable sales. They have their latest roadmap to live up to as per their presentation on Sept. 11th at the R & R conference. Also, you should note that "keen' investors will mentally check off each point that POET achieves over time disclosed in that presentation. Those "keen" investors also know that if you do these processes well, then success will follow. The numbers just need to trend with those expectations and those "keen" investors will be smiling as POET blows up and to the right when they are ready to do so and their confidence will likely still precede that up and to the right. In otherwords, their share purchases over time will probably support the stock rather than cannibalize it as POET is at that inflection point (I think, hope so).
