If you expand your cerebral capacity by about 1% you will understand the following :-
1.0 POET previously suffered serious delays due to wafer supply (sometimes several months)
2.0 POET previously suffered serious delays due to US Export Licensing red tape (again sometimes months)
POET had no control over the above delays.
Until now because :-
If POET wins the RFP, they will have access to a state-of-the-art GaAs facility with zero supply chain barriers and a Government backing that wants results.
That would mean vastly accelerated iteration learning cycles.
POET, in that environment, could probably achieve what they have done in the last 3-4 years in a 1 year period. Maybe I am even understating the productivity change.
If POET win that RFP, fasten your seat-belt and hang on.
