I too have done these and in some cases we intentionally held back questions to 

1) not clarify for the other guys

2) see what the computing questions were to see how informed they were and help us differentiate ourselves

3) not telegraph any of our insights 

I'm sure there are other strategies and approaches to winning RFPs but doubt we can determine much from that call about Poet's being in or not. 

For me there are other dots that point to them being in and high probability of winning but they have to be careful that they are not found to be favoured. Here is "HOPING" they win
