Good to see these news releases. I was confused by one thing in this one.

"the flagship product will offer highly integrated BF18 with even lower RIN and “super wide” tunability."

The RIN for the BF18 (flagship product) is 160 dB/Hz, compared to 155 and 150 for the lesser models. This is not lower in absolute terms. I was wondering if this also depends on the laser power, shot noise, bandwith, etc.? So when it is stated that "even lower RIN", there is more to it than just the RIN numbers in dB/Hz?

Just not so knowledgeable about this, so hoping someone can clarify this for me.
