Junkers, I do think it is important to consider the context of the question that was answered. It went like this (almost word for word but not quite).

If the InP product is, in fact disruptive, therefore it seems to me that we have our customers but since it's disruptive, it's newsworthy, couldn't we get a story out, maybe in an industry publication or even, since it is newsworthy, I don't see why it is not national news, ... some angle for publicity".
I guess possibly "making these announcements in an industrial press release" happened at CLEO, but why not reach out to more of the public. Perhaps "public" to these people means people working in the semiconductor industry and does not include people such as investors, which would summarize a lot of the issues (and SP). I do think the context of the question was about "newsworthy", so the answer should align with that, however, as you said, maybe Suresh did not understand the context of the question and that he set up expectations, which is an issue in itself. Time for these people to focus their communication not just on semiconductor people, but others as well, IMHO.
