They all joined because they might have saw that this company had a great technology and great ideas, but the company did not have the means or manpower to do Dr. Taylor's work justice to extend that to commercial viability. Once they rolled up their sleeves and got to know the company further, they realized that it would take longer and that diversification was also important, but the company probably lacked a concrete corporate mission and roadmap.

Health can be a life-changing factor in any major decision for anyone at any point in their life. Now, is it possible that Dr. Taylor may not have liked the direction? We don't know that. Is it possible that Dr.Taylor did like the direction? We don't know that either. I recall he did say that he has left the company in good hands. If you are still a shareholder that would mean you likely believe that. Aswell, at the THM, Ajit Manocha said he has known Geoff Taylor for many years, and that it was because of him that won Ajit over from silicon-based thinking to GaAs. Putting the logistical and some of the engineering challenges the company has had aside, it would be unfair to insert supposed mixed feelings leading to the conjecture posted here today. Some of you might assume that personal differences might have arisen out of the change in direction, but wasn't POET sort of like a hi-tech sailboat without a rudder until the management as we know it today all had joined to change this?
