InThisThinRain: Yes and no: POET gave UCONN two million shares to lower the royalties from 5% to 3% back in 2014.

Actually they renegotiated UConn's share of sublicense fees from 30 (yes, thirty) percent down to three percent.

There's absolutely no point in wasting precious time to try to negotiate that any further down. I'd happily pay huge sums to UConn pursuant to this contract.
