An AGM is usually a procedural function (legal administrative stuff) to adhere to stock listing functions or to amend something within that scope. There is normally nothing exciting about an AGM. Of course, it would be nice if some very positive news could be released at the same time, but that is not expected. Usually it is posters in public forums that drive sentiment in either direction around this event. Once the AGM is over any hype or bashing type posts disappear with the daytraders in my opinion. You will notice the new names that have popped up recently probably designed to carry a conversation around this.

Obviously, it took POET about 100 days to integrate Denselight and BB Photonics acquisitions, and it might have taken longer to decide on the company's direction once assessing what synergies those companies brought to POET. But since then, the company has stuck to its plan bringing more granular detail to each presentation since the THM meeting. I am upset with the "up to the right" quote by Ajit Manocha at the THM and the +/- 1 or two weeks "optimization" bit about the VCSEL as those comments damaged credibility. But I do feel since they also mentioned InP way back at the THM is that is what they have been really working on all along. So it has probably been a bit of a smokescreen to hold any competitors at bay while they forge ahead. The other areas where we had high expectations in the POET product development area are still moving forward as per the last NR, but the low hanging fruit is to me the stuff that the acquisitions have brought to the table. In reality, those opportunities are what will bring us new and significant revenue near term as in 2017. At least that is what I am hoping for to transpire in a minimal sense this year.
