I just finished an article on the front page of the weekend issue of the Wall Street Journal.  The article described how the number of publicly traded stocks has shrunk over half in the last twenty years. In November of 1997 there were more than 2500 small cap stocks and nearly 4,000 microcap stocks. The end of 2016 saw only 1200 small cap and under 1,900 microcap stocks left.  The article sites many reasons for this, however  what interested me the most was that the values of these remaining stocks had risen to very high prices and beyond apparent good value.  This led to one firm to liquidate their holdings and to return money to the investors to avoid having to buy shares at what he deemed to be inflated values. I can see a void in this scenario that POET could help fill.

Poet has an opportunity to enter the investing arena in the next year if their stated goals become reality and Poet is seen as a growth stock by the investment community, particularly on the NASDAQ!   The next week and the next month will have a great deal to do with what the future may bring to all of us in the next few years. I'm finding it a bit more difficult to resist feeling very positive for the opportunity that we all have waited for for a very long time to materialize.  Good fortune to all!  Hawkeye
