Between this, and the letter that everyone wrote, I sometimes wonder if people have ever owned stock in a public company before. 

When they have news to announce we'll see it.  Asking about the SRP was worth doing, but I didn't see the point of a letter like that.  No wonder their communication policy is what it is.  these guys are trying to get stuff done and half the time this board acts like adolescents with our constant demands.
