May I take the opportunity to explain my position regarding Apple and PET.  You and others seem to misunderstand my enthusiasm for this notion.  

There is absolutely no concrete evidence that such a relationship exists period nor do I place any value on it existting.  I believe that the Company Strategy of its developments is exactly what they say in their official papers and people should not place any reliance on the notion whatsoever.

What I do by sharing my notion is to try and understand what the outcome was on the development of PET because no annoncement was made regarding the PET development work carried out up to August 2015.  It was a frustrating no news period not unlike the present.

MYPOET is not wrong to say I should move on but was wrong to say that it is well documented that PET milestones were not achieved over a 5 year period,  thats rubbish.  He does not reference a single document that would support his statement.  He is just mind dumping his opinion in the way thst BCD. whope  earnestly bothered to take the time to disemble his post on the matter, to show t was just opinion. Such loose statements are unhelpful.

My evidence is that the documentation that gives a clear indication that PET milestones and objectives were met was the announcement of the production of PDK and PTK.  Work that I understand was conducted by Lee Shepherd.  Whoever received these products has the capacity to design and build PET products. You have to pay to hold own such products unless you have a devopment aggreement like PC described in the 40 engineer deal.  There the information trail ends or dissappears, apart from an open comment made by SV thst they will not discuss the matter.  FJ an RainerI believe feels PET was shelved which is entirely aceptable. 

Make what you will about this and place no reliance on the notion at all but no one can explain here why or for who PDK and PTK, using Synopsys software, were produced. These products are the outcome of a completed PET development by PTI. The posibiliy exist that there was onward development under NDA that's all.

I think we all agree that Apple did take a look under the bonnet but we know that as the most secretive company in the world we will never be party to their intentions. . 

This mystery simply proccupiies my natural curiosity.and I enjoy the mental exercise involved and writing about the new thoughts that float to the surface when I'm not thinking about boats guitars and country walks with my Mehmsahib and Binnie the Border Terrier in the Welsh countryside.
